For the past few months, my girlfriend and I have been hearing the pitter patter of little footsteps in our dreams. No, sorry folks, no children on the way. It’s a mouse. Or possible many mice.
It started this winter. We would hear something that sounded like animals running around on the roof. I once saw two of the neighborhood cats fighting on our roof, so I just figured our roof was a happening place. After we heard scurrying behind some of the walls, we know that they must be under our roof. They haven’t come out into the house area, because I think that they fear our fearless cat. Not that I think she would kill them, she’d probably ignore them after not being able to catch them. She doesn’t like to chase things, except when they are presented just the right way. She’s picky like that.

So I have set out to exterminate these beasts myself. I set out some glue traps two days ago. Two in the outside storage area, where we’ve seen some activity. And one in the attic, where we can hear them. I don’t think these are regular little mice. They proceeded to eat the glue traps I put in the storage area and the one in the attic looks like they stuck too and then just walked off. I think that I’ll have to put out the old-fashioned, finger snapping, neck-breaking mousetraps. Those little bastards deserve death.
Yara used to have a pet mouse, so she really doesn’t want to be involved in the execution of the mice. We both hate them though… death to Mickey!
