The War against Terrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and/or Oppression
Mr. Bush was presented with the following question:
Iraq is a serious threat to the United States because:
a) Saddam Hussein has ties to Al Qaeda
b) they have weapons of mass destruction and the means to deliver them
c) they are mistreating and oppressing their citizens
George W II has tried all three answers and will probably write in another answer to the American people. Just watch and wait. Honestly, a week and a half ago I heard that we had gone to war. I wasn’t really surprised, I figured we were going to kick their asses for breaking U.N. resolutions. Then I heard it was called: Operation Iraqi Freedom. I was shocked. What kind of name is that for a war against weapons of mass destruction. Now it had become a peacekeeping type operation to liberate the people of Iraq? Come on, GW2, you’ve been kidding with us for a while, but seriously how dumb did your professors at Andover tell you we were? My only hope is that our superior army and technology will keep too many of our good men and women from dying for a blueblood’s need for payback.
God, please watch over our troops. I have friends among them.

Return of Zelda
It’s been a long time since I visited the land of Hyrule and used the power of the triforce, but that time has come again. I started playing Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Wow, what a great game.

Embarking on a new Adventure
My last day at my job is officially tomorrow. In fact, I’m in Atlanta now, doing some last minute work. You know, hiding easter eggs, putting in secret back doors, and writing code that will steal fractions of pennies for me.
Someone asked me today if I was nervous about leaving work. I told them I’m not and I’m really not! I gave notice a while ago and have just been hanging on doing a few more things here and there. They have a new website coming out, which few people will be able to see (Why do I keep working on these hidden websites? I need to show my mad skeelz!). My stuff is almost done and I’m working some late hours to make sure of it.
I’m looking forward to being focused on real estate investing. I’m one of those people who are really good at sitting down and getting one thing done at a time. I really lose productivity when I’m distracted by other stuff. Hmm, probably should be doing more work instead of writing this, but nah you readers are important.
I’ve got a lot of things to say about this war thats going on. I’ll put them into an entry this weekend.
Zelda just came out and my copy is waiting for me back in Birmingham at BestBuy. “I’ll be home soon baby!”

Bowling for Columbine
Note: this entry was originally written on January 5th. I’m finally publishing it because I’m starved for content and it just won an Oscar for Best Documentary.
This Saturday, I caught the newest Michael Moore movie, “Bowling for Columbine“. This documentary of America’s gun culture was a provocative and evocative (thanks NFA) look into why America is such a violent nation, with over 11,000 gun-related deaths in a single year. It brings up a lot of really good points and made some strong arguments with key figures in the debate. Before this movie, I really strongly considered buying a gun and keeping it in my house, I won’t now. I may one day own a rifle for skeet shooting or long distance shooting, but I wouldn’t keep it at home.

School Weapons
I saw this article about a kid who brought a knife to school. He did it inadvertently, but got a 10 day suspension anyways. Apparently zero-tolerance also means zero-sense. You’ve got to be frightened of a world that only has white and black. Where do people like me fit in? Literally!
I figure if I went to elementary school these days, I would never have made it. After my tae kwon do training, my hands and feet were deadly weapons. In fact, when I put my hands in my pocket, they would be concealed weapons. And when I was in a fight with a gang of boys, they would be weapons of mass destruction. Yeah, I never would’ve completed school in a zero-tolerance environment…
