Rainy days
Today was a pretty rainy day in Atlanta. It rained from the time I woke up to the time I drove back home. It’s still raining. I’m glad that it rained as there have been a lot of drought conditions. I hope this is enough to help the water level. There are other good things I saw today as it rained. Other drivers were very cautious and careful on the roads today. It was nice to see everyone just doing 40 in the pouring rain and not trying to push 70 in this hydroplane friendly environment. So the drive I was fearing ended up being an affirmation that sanity was in those other metal capsules. Now all I need to do is fix my capsule so it doesn’t leak.
Drive safely.

Dan’s Summary of Utah’s 300 Posts
Dan, a guy I met in KC, did something pretty cool. He took UtahInvestor’s 300 posts and consolidated them into a Cliff’s notes sized version. The original was some 48 pages or more. Now it is a svelte 18 pages. He says he took out the repetitive stuff. Here’s a link to the file so you can get it. Hope all my friends from KC enjoy it. You other ones can read it to
Note: I’ve moved these files to a secured folder. Some of my friends suggested that these should not be given out so openly. If you’d like access, either check the forum or email me.

Acting not Thinking
Yesterday, I went down to the county Recorder’s office to look up information on my girlfriend’s townhouse. This was just for practice, but I think I did pretty well. I made friends with some of the title company people and with Daniel who works there. People in Alabama are pretty cool, friendly and nice. After I assured Nan, the title lady, that I didn’t work for the IRS or for a scummy mortgage company she was happy to show me the ropes there. The computer system there is pretty hard to use, but she flew through it. I’ve got a Computer Science degree and I kept going to the wrong places. Oh well. She says she’s been doing it for years. You can even look up the tax assesor information all from one place.
I told Yara that I went and she was amazed. Apparently when I lived with her before, I told her that I was going to go down there and start to build my real estate empire. I guess I never got around to it, but the first day home since going to KC I went out. She was glad to see that I’m taking action. I told her to stay on my case about that. I’m planning on going back for lunch to look up our neighbor’s information and some of the other houses that have sold recently. It’s amazing what is in the public records.

Back from KC
Just got back from 5 of the most educational, emotional, and fantastic days I’ve spent in a long while. I got the great opportunity to meet over 100 like-minded people who were genuinely excited about real estate and UtahInvestor’s training program. His real name is Mark and he’s a great guy. I was worried for a while about sending my money to some guy I met on the internet, but he turned out to be real and the training he gave me was far better than I expected. I’ve bought a lot of real estate books, courses and heard a lot of people speak about it, but for once I was totally bowled over by the knowledge that was dropped on me. I know I can make his system work for me and I will. It’s just so incredible what’s going to happen to me and all the other attendees over the next few months.
It’s just amazing that all these people read Rich Dad Poor Dad, went to the richdad website, read the real estate forum, read utahinvestor’s post, asked him to teach them, and then put up the trust, time, and money to go the KC. It was just amazing.
There’s going to be a lot of changes for me in the next few weeks, I’ll be keeping you all updated on all of it. Should be very exciting. Reminds me of the scene in the Matrix where Tank meets Neo. “If what Morpheus says about you is true…” I feel like I just met my Morpheus.

Going to KC
Wednesday I’m going to Kansas City for my real estate training. This should be a great experience. I’m going to meet my mentor, the other students, and other gurus. A lot of these guys I’ve read about on the rich dad forums. Now I get to meet them in person. Les Gee, Marcos, utahinvestor, invalesco, Fox Island Boy, and a bunch more. Should be fun. I’ll eat some ribs for all y’all.
I stayed up late working on some business cards. Yellowhammer Financial. Best name I could think of without sounding too dumb. I found that companies don’t print business cards in a single day. Fortunately, I was able to use this to print my own from MS Word. I’ll post some later. You’ll laugh.
Turns out our database has some corruption. The DB services team is working now to fix it. I hope they get some sleep. I need some too.
